If you've spent any time on Random Pokémon Picker in your gaming journey, you know how satisfying it is to get all the Pokémon, with whatever filters you want, randomly at your fingertips. Some time ago, a player contacted me via my contact page, and they wanted something like this, but on Discord. I immediately started working on it, and I built PikaBoo — a Discord bot that brings the same picker right into your own server. The bot is no longer under beta testing and is publicly available to add to your servers.
What is PikaBoo?
PikaBoo is Random Pokémon Picker, in Discord. One slash command — /random — rolls a fresh batch of Pokémon straight into your channel with the official sprites, stats, and much more. Every filter which is available on the website works here too: type, generation, region, legendaries, and evolution stage.
The commands

You can use the exact filters to find exactly the Pokémon you want. Want three fully-evolved Water types from Johto? /random count:3 type:water gen:2 evolved:final — and you're done! It's this simple.

Add PikaBoo to your server
It's absolutely free of cost, no setup required — just click, pick the Discord server (your own) you want PikaBoo in, and you're ready:
Regarding permissions, the bot only asks for two — Send Messages and Embed Links — so it's perfectly safe and sound to drop it into any server, big or small. Once it's in, just type /random in any channel and it will work.
Why I built it
Well, it's not something that came to my mind all of a sudden. Some of you asked me to build something like this, and I love building things for you guys. Also, I do understand that gamers who play privately in their Discord servers used to find it hard to visit the website again and again — so now they can stick to the Discord user interface while enjoying the perks of the random picker at the same time.

Well, this is my first article in the News and Updates category on this website, but it sure won't be the last. One of the main reasons I wrote this article, instead of just using a banner/notification to let you know, is that I want to hear your feedback and suggestions for improving this bot and the website. I've recently found out that my contact page was not working properly for a few months. I'm sure that's why you guys were not able to send me suggestions either, but here is the easier way out — make the comments anonymously below this article, and I'll know what's on your mind — and we'll build much better things for this community together.
