Pokémon wheel: how it works
How does the Pokémon wheel work?
Press Spin the wheel (or tap the wheel). Every Pokémon on it has exactly the same chance: the result is picked fairly first, then the wheel spins to land on it. Open Chances on this wheel under it to see every option and its odds.
Can I spin only Gen 1, or only starters?
Yes. Tap Gen 1 (or any generation — pick several to combine them), Starters only, or Fully evolved. More filters adds types and lets you leave out Legendaries, Mythicals and baby Pokémon. The page address updates as you go, so you can bookmark or share that exact wheel.
How do I get a random team of 6?
Choose Team of 6 and spin six times — the same Pokémon can’t come up twice. Don’t like one? Re-spin just that slot. When the team is full, copy it for Pokémon Showdown or create a Pokepaste link. To tune it further, paste it into the Import box of our Team Planner.
What is elimination mode?
Each spin knocks the winner off the wheel. Keep spinning to pick an order, run a bracket, or find the last Pokémon standing. Undo and Reset are always there.
Can I make my own wheel?
Choose Custom wheel, add any Pokémon you like, then Copy link — anyone who opens it gets exactly your wheel. Your custom wheel is also saved on this device.
Is it good for Nuzlockes and challenge runs?
That’s what most people use it for: spin your starter, spin each new team member, or spin a monotype with the Type tab (also at the Random Type Generator). For more control over a single pick, the Random Pokémon Picker has stat, ability and nature filters.
