The data, design, and trademarks behind Random Pokémon Picker.
Random Pokémon Picker is a fan project. It would not exist without the open data and open source work of the communities listed below. Thanks to all of them.
Data sources
PokéAPI
The foundation of nearly every page on this site. PokéAPI supplies the Pokédex itself — stats, abilities, types, evolution chains, species categories and dex entries, breeding info, move metadata, learnsets per version group, TM/HM machine mappings, sprites, cries, and the multi-language name and ability data. Used under their open licence with deep gratitude.

Pokémon Showdown
The Team Planner uses competitive-format data maintained by the Pokémon Showdown community — base stats and abilities tuned for modern competitive play, formats, and move categories. A handful of sprite fallbacks across the site also come from the Showdown sprite library.

Special thanks
Butterfree
For her careful audit of the site in its early days, and the detailed, generous feedback that shaped many of its rough edges into something usable — from spotting weird bugs to inspiring the Favorite Pokémon feature, which she had on her site. The kind of help that's hard to come by — thank you.
